Mascara Application Tips

Mascara is an important eye makeup gadget that makes your eyelashes look thicker and darker. Most women prefer to apply eye mascara and eye pencil liner alone to beautify their eyes. Though mascara comes in various neutral shades like black, brown, grey, blue, black is the most preferred color among Indian women. It is a basic neutral color that goes well with almost everyone and for all occasions. Women with fair completion can choose brown shade.

Mascara application should be the last step of your makeup. Make sure you apply your foundation, eye shadow, eyeliner before applying your mascara.

Mascara makes your eyes look much deeper and giving you the complete look you may be striving for. There are two basic types of mascara you can choose from: waterproof mascara and regular one. You can remove regular mascara with water easily but if you are using waterproof mascara, you need an eye makeup remover to remove it.

Get rid of your mascara after four months of use as bacteria might have entered it or it may have dried out. Don’t apply your mascara in moving vehicles as you might get an eye injury.

Curl Your Lashes: If your eyelashes are straight, curl your eyelashes with a good eyelash curler before applying your mascara. Your eyes will look bigger and more beautiful with these eye cosmetics products. If you are using curler for the first time, open the curler and grab all the upper eyelashes, close it slowly and hold for 20 seconds. Never press the curler too hard as it can create twist in the middle of the eyelashes. Don’t curl your lower lashes.

Avoid Clumps: Don’t allow mascara to clump up when you are applying it. If you want to apply more than one coat, allow the first coat dry completely before applying the second one. If you want to apply mascara eye makeup products on your lower lashes, apply with the tip of the wand. Always separate your upper and lower lashes with an eyelash comb before it is dried.
